The upcoming Trinitas decision is expected soon. Is golfing agritourism? I'm not sure that Calaveras County farmers and ranchers are waiting for a judge to decide whether it is legal for them to build and operate golf courses. An ordinance passed in 2005 specifies certain uses that are acceptable for farm and ranch land such as horse stables. Supporters of the golf course claim that hitting a golf ball across land is much the same as riding a horse across land.
