Hey Tom,
Maybe I could encourage you to give a class on resizing and optimizing images so people can learn to upload to their blogs.

In Windows XP, when you are in your folder click on file and on the pull down select new, then select compressed (zipped) folder. Move your files into the folder. Upload the compressed folder.
For non-XP (and zip purist) use your favorite search engine and look for winzip or zip. You can buy it or probably can find a free version of the program that does the standard compression that is recognized by the unzip software.

Hi Clark,
Actually I wasn’t talking about compressing the file but changing its size and optimizing it for the web. I can see where this is confusing.
For uploading for the blog, pictures need to be under 300px wide by 300px High. If they are larger they will break the page layout.
Web compression settings are nice so they display faster but not essential.
Phil
