I am writing you this morning in regards to the record heat and record energy usage California is currently experiencing in many local areas.

A Flex Your Power Now alert is currently in effect and we are asking all customers to conserve as much as possible for the next 36 hours and to avoid all non-essential electric usage.

Supply shortages are not generating this appeal. It is, instead, the combined impact of high heat and usage on the electric transmission and delivery system.
