Ladies 18 Holers Updates Feb 4, 2011
The last Tuesday of January the 18 Holers held their annual award luncheon at the Twisted Fork in Sutter Creek. We are proud to announce our top winners for 2010, and they are: ECCI winners, Winter Sharon Holbrook, Summer Lorraine Spradlin and Fall Debbie Baker. Lori Balderson had the most birdies with 27 and Leona Nelson had the most chip-ins with 7. Major Tournament winners were: Lori Balderson in the June Goldbeck Tournament; Debbie Weyrauch in the Captain's Cup Tournament; Balderson also won the Club Championship Tournament and Nancy Cass won the ACE Tournament. Debbie Baker was our Most Improved Golfer of the year, improving her score by handicap by 7 strokes.
February 1st found us playing a game called Triple Three, where you count 3 par 3's, 3 par 4's and 3 par 5's, minus 1/2 a handicap. Liz Stapleton won first place with 30, followed by Lorraine Spradlin with 33.5. Debbie Weyrauch came in third with 34, followed by Mary Paulson with 35.5. Low Net winner of the day was Erin Miley with a low net of 71. Spradlin also made a chip-in for birdie on hole #8 and Miley had a birdie on the same hole. Miley also won Closest to the Pin on hole #8, placing the ball 3 feet, 6 inches from the cup.
Lori Balderson made a Hole In One on January 28th. It was on hole #13. She used a 7 iron for 105 yards. Much to her delight the ball actually flew a bit past the pin and rolled backwards into the hole. Congratulations to Lori and also to all our 2010 winners.
