The True Story of christmas is a puppet show that has been put on in the Valley Springs Veterans hall for the last 32 years by Mrs.Helen Hosford and volunteers and members of her church. It tells the sweet, simple, and short Nativity story and the birth of Jesus Christ using animal puppets! In 2010 there were some difficulties in putting it on, the school wouldn't allow us to place the permission slips in the children's take home packets because they would then become 'to involved'. We usually average anywhere from 300-500 students we only had 60 but the number doesn't matter its getting this true story of Christmas and its true meaning out there to the children of our community!
