Well these would be mastermind alleged criminals may have figured out how to make it one.
I think everyone gets a kick out of dumb things criminals do (aside from being criminals) and a local crime just may make the books.
As the story goes the local smoke shop was broken into. Upon planning their escape these guys evidently spotted a cop car parked outside the front door. Deciding that was not a good route to leave by the burrowed through the wall. Unfortunately for them their new escape route took them through the post office.
Uh oh, I think that may be federal!
I was looking over my garbage collection bill and noticed a charge for green waste. I called and found this is a non optional yard waste collection. Yard waste in Rancho? Really. Would really like to know how this came about and being that is not an option aren't we really just paying more for garbage collection. Sounds like some back room deal to get a bid to me.
My credit card number has been stolen twice in 6 months. The questions I ask myself: is it retail employees stealing numbers, is it online companies being compromised or acting as perpetrators, how many data-bases have been hacked? My question to you is: has it happened to you? If the criminals are local, can we find the source?
Maybe these questions and this conversation can lead into a fair and actionable discussion of VS crime.
Angels camp has been working hard on developing their farmers market. Great food, entertainment, and of course locally grown fresh produce. Shopping for your food locally is one of the best things you can do for your health and also for the health of the environment.
The Calaveras air fair is always a great time. Produced by Paul Moeller of PATV. Private pilos show off their planes and give rides at the San Andreas Airpot. Hopefully this show will inspire you to check it out next year.
No not the hot iron type. The "what pops tomind" type.
Lisa Mayo (of the Calaveras Visitors Bureau) and Lisa Boulton talk with Anne Forrest about Branding and Angels Camp. How Angels Camp markets their town. We've got a lot going on here in Valley Springs. Maybe we should think about we can do to brand our town. Maybe being incorporated like Angels Camp is would move things along.

Trinitas owners Mike and Michelle Nemee are likely to lose the ruling concerning lease payments on golf carts and the case is still in pending. The golf course was built without the permits on land zoned for agriculture. They are in a dilemma whether the course will be legally operated. The owners of the golf course are likely to lose a recent trial on whether golf is a form of agritourism in Calaveras County.
